Stack Overflow A great site for all developers

I have recently (well 4 months ago) came across a site called Stack Overflow.
It’s a great site where you can get help and advice from other developers. You are free to ask and answer questions or search their database, you don’t even have to sign up! However if you use OpenID you are in luck, as StackOverflow supports it. Stack Overflow is a community based system, where you earn reputation. What is reputation? Take a look at their FAQ for more info.

Unlike other sites it is completely FREE! It’s also very fast and easy to use.

It’s helped me out recently with some TSQL. until now I have only really written SQL with a few joins, grouping, summing and where clauses, etc. On my quest to improve these skills. (In accordance with a task it really helped out.) I could have looked it all up in a book, but this is a new interactive way of learning and problem solving.

If you would like some help and advice on various development problems, feel you can give something back or even both, take a look at StackOverflow. Even if you don’t feel you need any help or would like to help others its a great resource to learn something new based on problems other people are having.

Also you may want to take a look at StackOverflow’s sister site ServerFault for IT Pros & Administrators and not forgetting the web-developers who can have an extra tool on top of StackOverflow – DocType.
